PREVENTING AND RESOLVING CONFLICTS * Secure your gargabe. * Don't feed or try to pet coyotes. * Keep cats indoors - especially at night. * Keep dogs close to home and obey leash laws - especially at night and during April and May. * Keep bird feeder areas clean. * Feed Pets indoors. * Clean brush and dense weeds around the yard which provides shelter for coyotes and the rodents they hunt. * Don't Let coyotes intimidate you. Use loud noises, lights, re-arrange lawn furniture.
* Close off crawls spaces under porches and sheds. * Protect livestock and produce - good fencing and/or dog protection. * Educate Neighbors. * Be prepared if Logging. * It is much easier to prevent a problem than to stop it once it starts. COYOTES OF THE BRONX
